We have certainly seen an exciting continuation to this year - an expanding team, being a finalist in an international competition, radio show interviews and newspaper coverage, engaging in new projects, and the final countdown to our Indiegogo EFC campaign offer launch.

Team Expansion
We want to start by welcoming a new and enthusiastic member to our amazing team. Emily Meijaard joined the Marketing Department in May as a new grant writer. She will be working closely with the rest of the team and our partners to identify new opportunities for the company.

ARUN Seed CSI 6 Competition

Well done Shana and the rest of the the Endangered Wildlife OÜ team for taking us to the finals of the ARUN Seed CSI 6 competition, held on 26 May. The Japanese pitch competition focused on the theme of humans working with nature, and we are proud to have been selected as one of the six finalists.

In the News

May has been the month of publicity with the International Day for Biological Diversity.

The case of the great white sharks in South Africa, commissioned by Shark Allies in 2022, was published in the Saturday Star and Cape Times newspapers.

Our CEO, Shana Gavron, was invited for an interview on Cape Talk Radio Station's Views and News with Clarence Ford on 22 May as part of International Day for Biological Diversity. She spoke about the financial valuation of biodiversity, highlighting the case of the great white sharks in South Africa.
