August has been a month focused on strategic growth and development for Endangered Wildlife OÜ. We are therefore pleased to be able to finally present the prototype versions of our new EFC and BICHA apps.
Environmental Footprint Calculator (EFC)
We have made strides in terms of the development and upgrading of our EFC. Originally developed as a desktop app, we have begun adapting it into a mobile app, allowing you to measure your environmental footprint on the move. We are expanding the range of industry-specific EFCs, incorporating enhancements such as behavioural recommendations to improve your overall impact score, and allowing for a white labelled marketing analytics tool to help companies understand and enhance customer environmental profiles.
The EFC is a behavioural change environmental analytics tool designed by ISO 14001 auditors and environmental impact assessors. Our current portfolio includes a Personal (in multiple languages), Business, Tourism and Workplace Personnel EFC. If you are interested in exploring opportunities please reach out to us or visit our website to learn more.
We we still running our EFC Indiegogo campaign, which you can support here.
Biodiversity Challenge (BICHA)
We are also proud to announce that we have been working on the prototype of our BICHA app - a gamified solution to citizen science. Imagine a real life competitive Pokemon hunt for the most valuable species, while contributing to local biodiversity citizen science data collection. The BICHA app allows users to select a region that contains 5-10 species of interest (research, ecological or conservation) that are valued. Users then focus on identifying and photographically recording sightings of those species in order to be attributed the value of the species, collect milestone badges, and compete with other users to move up the global and local leaderboard.
This is an ideal way for parks and tourism activities to engage with visitors, help to educate them on the value of the species they are seeing, and receive invaluable citizen science data.
